I’m limited on what I can do physically, but I’ve found many volunteer opportunities I can do for an hour or so at a time.
Perfect for me!
Volunteermatch.org is my go to for opportunities in my area.
Through them I’ve been able to experience many different ways to give back. Click below for more information!
I saw this on Facebook and decided to try it in Phoenix!
I would (try to!) crochet scarves while watching tv and we’d distribute them every December.
This is me in December 2018.
While the weather here is amazing, temperatures really drop during our winter nights leaving a large population literally out in the cold.
I was hoping my scarves would be a welcome find for someone out walking on a cold night.
I took the Facebook idea and expanded on it but not without the help of my family and friends!
My darling boys are in the next two pictures!
Ryan is first up! Don’t worry, we thought better and never tied another scarf around a parking meter!
One year, my improv friends helped me pass out clothing they both collected and donated!
Next up is Matt! The boys were always a big help.
We had years we provided lunches and one year we were able to fill donated backpacks with hats, gloves, protein bars, and cookies!
Last up is my cheerleader! The guy who always supports my dreams, my husband Dean!
We enjoyed this form of giving back to the community!
